From May 29 to June 15, 2015, the Sofia Boys Choir with conductor Prof. Adriana Blagoeva presented the Bulgarian music culture in Japan. The choir was selected after a two-stage competition between 11 choirs.
The idea came from the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mrs. Margarita Popova, and the concrete realization of the trip was to the Japan-Bulgaria Association with the Director-General Mrs. Akiko Igaya and with the assistance of the Embassy of Japan in Bulgaria.
The concert program consists of 28 songs, including four Japanese works. The first part of the program presents Bulgarian music. The second part of the program includes works from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism, Romanticism, contemporary authors, orthodox music.
